I painted the faces of the three ghost children and on my ring finger is the Other Mother (though she ended up looking quite Joker-ish).

Did Coraline creep you out as much as it did me, or do you watch actual scary movies? What are you doing tonight for Halloween? I'm looking forward to giving out candy - hope we get some trick-or-treaters despite the weather. Stay safe and have fun!
Hehehe! Love these!! Such a different take on Coraline inspired nail arts! The photos are great too! So are the poses -well, awkwardness is part of the charm of the animation.
ReplyDeleteNot a fan to pay to be scared. hahaha, but animated films like Coraline is totally fine with me. And it didn't creep me out either. But as to your title, I suppose it could be related to the saying 'The eyes are windows to your soul' so button eyes seems like erm, dolls that are moving.. =/ or something along that. hahahaa!
Thanks so much! Lol I thought since Coraline was animated, it couldn't be too bad, but it still scared me. You are obviously braver than I xD
DeleteUnique & extremely well done!
ReplyDeleteOhh thank you so much!
Deleteumm I am like you, I cannot handle scary movies at all and even Coraline seems a little too creepy for me after seeing these CREEPY BUTTON EYES. i don't know why but i really find them creepy too! very well done though.
ReplyDeleteLol sorry if I deterred you from ever wanting to see the movie. Let's just stick to our happy, funny movies then, shall we?
DeleteI. LOVE. THIS!!! Coraline is quite possibly one of my favorite movies, and the nails and eyes are GREAT!
ReplyDeleteAhhh THANK YOU! :D I watched it in 3D too, which was pretty cool. Definitely added to the creepiness at certain parts xD
DeleteI LOVE LOVE LOVE these nails!!! I just came across your blog having looked at your american apparel sheer polish swatches which were a great help by the way and I'm so glad I found you! I watched Coraline recently for the first time but wasn't so much scared as I was confused. Anyway, I love the simplicity of the faces and how the details really stand out but I love your needle and thread, it looks so delicate and amazing! I can't wait to see more of your work! x
ReplyDeleteAww THANK YOU so much! I'm very happy you found your way here :)
DeleteHahaha you found the movie confusing? I know I have a low scare tolerance, but I don't know how little kids could watch this movie! xD
