When I was little, I remember my cousin having this Little Prince calendar with illustrations and accompanying quotes from the book. My favourite one was of the "hat", which was actually clearly a boa constrictor eating an elephant.
These took an indecent amount of time (I think I set a new record), but I am really, really thrilled with them. Particularly proud of my left hand for its star-drawing capabilities.
It was wonderful to revisit this book. Hope you're having a great weekend!
ohhhh its sooooo beautiful!!!! i like it
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot!!
DeleteThis is so beautiful! Looks just like the illustrations in the book. Antoine Saint-Exupery would be proud!
ReplyDeleteOhh THANK YOU! The original illustrations are so lovely, I really hoped to do them a small fraction of justice.
DeleteI love how light and simple these drawings feel. Beautiful :) Love this!!
ReplyDeleteYes, the original illustrations have that same feeling, which is what I love about them! Thank you :)
DeleteI love this book! I read this in French, and the meanings are really deep and thoughtful for a children's book. This mani is so amazing <3
ReplyDeleteI really wish my French was good enough for me to read this story in its original language! It's really great how it is a children's book that everyone can enjoy. Thank you! <3
DeleteIt's amazing! Such a sweet manicure, just like the book. You nailed all the details, it looks simple but I can tell you spent a lot of time on it because it's perfect!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! It's often the simple things that actually end up taking the most time, but it's worth it! :)
DeleteI love these SO SO SO SO SO much. I can't even begin to tell you. I'm just now getting into nail art and had been thinking about wanting to do Little Prince nails when I get better, and I'm so happy I found someone to be inspired by. :)
